Put on Umbra and discover a new way to explore the cosmos. Solarterium is a private celestial experience designed for Umbra eyewear—from the worlds of our Solar System to the structures beyond our galaxy.

Enter Solarterium
Solarterium is designed to be chosen from inside Umbra’s experience interface. Select it, and the view is envisioned to open onto a complete celestial environment you can look around and explore.
You are not watching a planetarium. You are inside your own.

Your celestial neighborhood
From the Moon to the edge of what we know. Begin at home and travel outward, one neighbor at a time.
Signature interaction
Pick something in the sky, then move from its place among the stars toward a detailed view of it.
Saturn · Sky view
An exploration visualization: Solarterium is designed to move from an object’s place in the sky to a detailed rendering of it. It is not telescopic or optical magnification, and the imagery is not live.
Explore

Solarterium for learning
Don’t just show students a diagram.
Let them explore.
Education is an emerging direction for Solarterium: journeys that let young explorers see the scale and structure of the universe for themselves. It is being shaped now, not deployed in classrooms today.
Guided journeys
Journeys envisioned for Solarterium — each one a story told across the sky, not a chapter in a textbook.

Time & place
The sky you see depends on where you stand and when you look. Solarterium envisions letting you change both.
UMBRA
The Solarterium Edition uses the same Umbra eyewear technology, presented in a special edition created around celestial exploration.

Solarterium is being designed as an experience within Umbra — not as a reason to buy a second pair of identical glasses. The intention is that compatible Umbra eyewear can open Solarterium without the Edition.
Companion app
